Our little family!! Well, I guess it's not so little any more!!!

Here she is!! Our little Olive!! She has finally arrived! We have been waiting for this day for a long time. Paul and I went to the hospital Thursday morning and around 7am and the doctor broke my water around 9am or so and gave me a little pitocin . But I went so fast they had to stop it cuz they couldn't get anyone up to give me an epidural for an hour! I barely made the time cut for the epidural! She came out in 4 contractions! She had the cord around her pretty tightly and that is why she is so purple the doctor had to pull pretty hard to get it off. As soon as I saw her I turned to Paul and said "She's huge!!!" I couldn't believe how big she was! You couldn't see anything but cheeks!! She weighed 8lbs 7oz and 21 inches long! The kids were so excited to see her. Indie got to hold her first, (since Lex got to hold Tadhg first when he was born) then Lex, then Tadhg. The nurse was so great she let all the kids help give her a bath. It was really neat and the kids couldn't have been happier!

Paul's last stand
I was about to get my epidural and for some strange reason they had me lean against Paul, who was standing up in front of me. I am in a lot of pain, of course, with contractions and in and out of it because of some other medicine they had given me in my IV. All a of a sudden Paul says to my mom, "Pen, switch me out I have to pee!" She's like "a yeah, can't hold it for a minute? your wife is right in the middle of getting her back stuck with a giant needle?"
He keeps insisting that he really has to go to the bathroom so my mom comes over to take his place. I have no idea why Paul is leaving me and so naturally I am ticked. But about 20 seconds later I hear a really loud noise. It sounded like the metal table with all of the doctors equipment fell over. I start asking what the heck is going on?? It is quiet for a minute. Then I hear someone say "You sure jumped up quick!" So when the doctor was done I find out that Paul didn't really have to go to the bathroom, he was in fact feeling a little queezy. So as he went to reach for the bathroom door he couldn't quiet make it before he completely passed out!! Hitting the babies bed and breaking the bed pan that was on the floor with his massive noggin!!
So the nurse runs over there, who by the way weighs about 100lbs compared to Paul's hmm....220lbs?? And she is trying to untangle him from the chords because he is under the baby bed sprawled over the leg of it. My mom is laughing so hard she can't even talk!!! Every time I ask her what's happing she about pees her pants!! Then he suddenly jumps up and plops on the couch. That is when the doctor says, "You sure jumped up quick!"
My man. What a guy. That is all I can say to that! That and I would have given anything to see that with my own two eyes!!! I love you, Paul!!! You always make me laugh, especially when it involves you, a needle, and a bed pan!!

My little soccer stars!!!!!!

The kids both had soccer games tonight and since daddy is both of the kids coach that meant mommy got to coach Indie's team! It's just too bad that I know nothing about soccer...besides that I love to watch my kids play it! I did have a lot of fun though and Indie did a great job.

Lex got to play goalie for the first time and he was so excited! He did a great job. He also made an awesome goal, of course! He is an unbelievable player and was ranked #1 out of all the kids on all the Dahlonega teams! He is an amazing athlete and so much fun to watch.

Just another one of Naunie's projects! Making Indie a poodle apron so she can help mommy in the kitchen! It turned out so adorable! And there I am having a wonderful contraction! I don't get many, in fact I wish I could have a heck of a lot more right about now!

It has been really fun week having my mom here with us as we wait for our little Olive to arrive! We are all a little shocked that she is still not out yet but she will come when it is time and not just when I am ready! The kids have loved being able to spend time with their Naunie as she has spoiled them with loves, kisses, nightly tickling sessions, and not to mention some special gifts here and there! Lex's definite favorite has to be his Venus Flytrap, he loves it like a pet dog! He had to take it to school to show everyone because they have been learning about them in science so he was pretty proud! Naunie has also been able to come to some of the kids soccer games and even see them in their Primary program at church yesterday. She has helped me organize my house and we have even bottle homemade salsa and peaches!!! Now all we need is baby and we will be complete! Here is a picture of my giant belly, hopefully it won't be there much longer! You will have to excuse my North Georgia attire, as soon as I walk in the front door I have to immediately put on these clothes because it is still so unbelievable hot and humid that clothing feels so suffocating! I am almost dilated to a 5 so it should really be any time now!! I will have to be induced on Thursday if I don't start on my own before that so I am really praying I will start on my own for once!!! We will keep everyone posted as soon as the baby arrives!
