Lex is really into dragons lately and all he wants to do is draw, draw, draw!!! He is getting really good and we are so happy that he has found something that he loves to do. He concentrates so hard on making every line and every detail perfect. He has been struggling a bit lately and it makes us happy that he has found something to focus on. He is such a good boy and such a joy in our lives. His sweet personality always reminds us how important it to be more loving and more patient. It is hard being the oldest- we have never been parents to an eight year old before! The world is such a hard place to live in right now and we are realizing more and more how important it is to have the Lord more a part of our lives. Lex is our special, special little dude and he means the world to us!! Sometimes we forget what a blessing he is in our lives and how lucky we are to have such a special spirit of God in our home and as one of our children.

This is a poem Lex wrote for his new little sister. It is so cute and the first poem he as ever written and I thought it was too cute not to share!
Olive, Olive born the other day.
Your real birthday was not in May.
We love your name.
Olive, Olive did you know that's your name?
Olive, Olive we love those red sweet cheeks.
They fit right in with cute little face.
Olive Olive we love you so.
We even love you from head to toe.
